Lee Chang-min's Rhapsody — a night of amateurs singing, in the wild..

An original live music show staged in the mountains of Inje, Gangwon, with influencers as the performers. YEN developed the concept, produced it in-house, handled casting, sold the format to a cable broadcaster, and distributed via YouTube.

Problem

Influencer-led music shows were usually written off as "school talent show" tier — weak cinematography, weaker sound. To sell the format to a broadcaster, a single pilot episode had to look and sound like prime-time.

Approach

YEN produced the show in-house and paired the DP team behind "Single's Inferno" for cinematography with the music director of "Begin Again" for sound. We cast 2AM's Lee Chang-min as MC and vocal coach, and recruited influencer-actor Hyeseon (now widely known as the "Cliff Girl") as a featured performer. The Smart Complex Shelter in Inje County became the stage, with its natural surroundings as the set.
